Conference Committees met at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church for devotions led by President Robert Lee and for room assignments.

7:30pm

The opening service was led by Rev. Wade Mobley, Sioux Falls, SD. The opening hymn was “Beautiful Savior.” The Abiding Savior Men’s Ensemble of Sioux Falls sang “I Will Glory in the Cross.” Rev. Elden Nelson, Rockford, MN, led a time of remembrance for a departed pastor, Philip Featherstone. The chair of the Board of Publications and Parish Ed, Rev. John Mundfrom, Eugene, OR, the director of Parish Education, Mrs. Marian Christopherson, New Hope, MN and Rev. Robert Lee, Crystal, MN joined in a dedication of the new AFLC catechism. The offering was accompanied by a string and flute trio from Abiding Savior, Sioux Falls. The pulpit hymn was “Jesus, I Long for Thy Perfect Communion.” Rev. Robert Lee, AFLC president, spoke on the conference text, Revelation 2:4. The communion hymn was “I Have Heard Thy Voice, Lord Jesus.” After sharing in the Lord’s Supper, the service closed by singing, “Lift High the Cross.”

President Lee then appointed the conference committees and opened the Annual Conference.
