Pastor Rich Carr said that the committee was in agreement with the original wording.

2.         WHEREAS, it is the AFLC's scriptural conviction that God has entrusted His work to the congregation, "the right form of the kingdom of God on earth" (AFLC Fundamental Principle No. 1),

Pastor Dan Schroeder, Seward, NE spoke about the need for prayers for the chaplains and moved to amend the resolution to read:

11.       WHEREAS, our culture, both inside and outside the church, is in a desperate state of collapse, and

WHEREAS, both Dr. Lawrence White and Pastor Lee have challenged pastors and congregations to proclaim biblical truth regarding issues such as: the sanctity of human life, biblical inerrancy, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, biblical view on homosexuality, sanctity of marriage as biblically defined, male pastorate, and the unapologetic proclamation of both Law and Gospel.

BE IT RESOLVED, that we encourage pastors and congregational leadership to prayerfully and emphatically instruct their members regarding these issues in love, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we encourage the AFLC seminary and publication office to explore resources that will aid in this endeavor.

Mr. Gene Quist, Bloomington, MN, said that the Evangelism Commission had Pastor Lawrence White come to our schools campus and spoke favorably to the resolution.

Rev. Terry Culler, Hagerstown, MD, moved to amend:

            WHEREAS, our culture, both inside and outside the church, is in a desperate state of collapse, and

WHEREAS, both Dr. Lawrence White and Pastor Lee have challenged pastors and congregations to proclaim biblical truth regarding issues such as: the sanctity of human life, biblical inerrancy, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, biblical view on homosexuality, sanctity of marriage as biblically defined, male pastorate, caring for poor in our society and the unapologetic proclamation of both Law and Gospel.

BE IT RESOLVED, that we encourage pastors and congregational leadership to prayerfully and emphatically instruct their members regarding these issues in love, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we encourage the AFLC seminary and publication office to explore resources that will aid in this endeavor.
