We are no longer able to accept applications for the 2011 trip to Ecuador. We have reached the maximum number of people that we are allowed to take. Thank you for your interest in Student Missions!
July 24th - August 17th, 2011*
Area: You will be working in southern Ecuador in the city of Cuenca.
Age: 15-20 years old**
Space: There is a limit of 12 students. This is first come first serve so apply quickly!
Missionary Requests: The missionaries have expressed a need for mature Christians who desire to grow in their faith alongside those in Ecuador.
Training: Training starts on July 24, 2011 at AFLC campus and we will fly out on July 28, 2011.
Application Deadline: February 1, 2011.
During this trip you will be working with Pastor Darwin and Kirsten Paccha (Darwin is originally from Ecudaor and has graduated from our AFLC seminary) and Sam and Rachel Menge (AFLC Student Missions Coordinators). You will be integrating yourselves with the Ecuadorian youth at their two week summer institute. You will have an opportunity to learn alongside these youth as well as from them. They will do the same with you. During the evenings we will be in charge of teaching an English camp for these youth. We will train you in an oral Bible teaching method that will give you Scripture to confidently proclaim to them and teach them to use. This promises to be an exciting and challenging time for both you and those in Ecuador.
* The dates and price are subject to change due to the airlines. They will be solidified later this year. The dates will change no more than a day or two.
** College students older than 20 may still apply, but will only be considered after the application deadline, if there is still space available.
