Discipleship for Women

// INFORMATION COPIED FROM THEIR WEBSITE

Discipleship for Women is a ministry for women who want to trust and follow Jesus.

Discipleship may sound like an old school word, a word your grandma used that one time.  Just don’t let that hold you back from the beauty of its meaning. It’s a beautiful, beautiful word. It means to learn.

Discipleship means a lot less wandering alone and a lot more walking His way, intentionally, with one another. Feeling alone and isolated is the death march of the soul. Relationship is where our heart dwells and our eyes are opened to learning. Women were created for community. It’s how we grow best.

Do you want a deeper relationship with Jesus? Does your heart need to be resuscitated to beat once more for your one true love?

Mary and Elizabeth remind us in the Gospel of Luke what this kind of relationship looks like. Perfect examples of humility, grace and life-giving strength, they leaned on one another to ignite their faith. They gave wings to each other’s God-given purpose.

Providing sound biblical resources to disciple a small group or to use with a friend, trusting and following Jesus is the high goal here.

OUR BIG PRAYER? That through Discipleship for Women you’ll discover an article, a ministry, or a resource that gives you the courage to reach out as a Mary or an Elizabeth to someone else in your life.

What We Believe:

WE BELIEVE the Scripture of the Old and New Testament are inspired by God and inerrant in the original text. Scripture is the supreme and final authority in faith and life. Scripture is useful to believers for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.

WE BELIEVE in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, His baptism and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

WE BELIEVE in the deity of the Holy Spirit as a person distinct from the Father and Son, and possessing all of the divine attributes. He exalts Christ, convicts people of sin, and enlightens and empowers believers and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God and that the whole human race fell in the fall of the first Adam and was alienated from God. Only through faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation, which was made possible by His death and resurrection, are we reconciled to God.

WE BELIEVE in the eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.

WE BELIEVE the Lord Jesus is coming again to this earth, personally, bodily, and visibly to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
