Hello! My name is Jenna and was asked to write an intro on me as I was just graciously elected to be 1st Vice President for the national WMF. Still feeling a little anxious about this new role and pray God will give me the wisdom to be able to serve in a willing and helpful way. I am excited to learn from these women who I get to serve with as well! So a little about me is that I was raised in a home that was saved by Christ, and I grew up in the teaching of God’s Word. God has made His faithfulness known to me over and over and He’s never failed me yet!
I am blessed to be married to Brian who is a wonderful guy for me, and we have three beautiful, strong-willed girls. We are back on my family’s farm where my hubby farms with my dad now, did not expect to be back here, but so grateful we are. We live right next door to my parents and am grateful for their help and support as well. Life is busy living in rural ND and our girls are all active and getting more involved with sports, friends and all the things.. Our oldest is Elsie and she is in going into 8th grade, Esther is our middle girl and is going into 6th grade, and Edith is going into 4th grade. Time sure flies!
I am a farmer’s wife, but not maybe as you think.. I do pick up parts sometimes, but am not that hands on besides making supper, as I am allergic to the crops we grow. Otherwise I try to keep up with the home and keep up with the kids and try to get our dog out for walks. People have asked me what I like to do for fun in my spare time and I never know how to answer that. I like to get a white chocolate mocha when I am in town running errands and I like to watch my kids in their activities and enjoy an occasional date night with the hubby. I also have started listening to podcasts when I get to drive somewhere by myself. Our family loves water sports on the lake and we like to downhill ski in the winter.
The AFLC has always been apart of my life and I have gotten to be in many different roles in that. Currently I am the President for Board of Ed at our church, secretary for our local WMF and also am on our district Family Camp board. I graduated from AFLBS almost 20 years ago already and have life long friends from there. I still get to go on trips about every other year with them or go visit them in another state. We always just pick up where we left off and am so grateful my hubby supports and allows me to be able to do that while he holds down the fort here.
A lot of my life was not in plans and have had hardships along the way, but God has brought us through, and am so glad my plans didn’t work out as His ways are perfect. “His mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness!”
Jenna will begin her term in October 2025.
