Karen Pederson, WMF National President
Our WMF District covers lots of miles in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Our fall rally was at Immanuel in New Leipzig with Trinity Church in Mott joining in hosting about 45 ladies. We were missing the Montana ladies but were blessed with a carload from Reva, SD who left at 6:00 am to attend!

Carrie Roth, local WMF and District President led the day and explained the homemade cross we each received. Trish Weishaar giving a touching devotion from our theme, Taking Up the Cross. We sang songs focusing on the Cross with Marcy Haase and Sarah Schock leading us.

Becky Abel shared the heritage of missions including her personal call to the mission field. She told of Ruby Abel’s beginning, then her desire to be a missionary before meeting her husband Paul, whom God had prepared without her knowing! Now the Brazil churches and Bible Camp that they started and poured their hearts into are being run by local people the Lord has raised up. The next generation is continuing the call of missions through their son, Matthew and his wife in Paraguay. Pastor Paul shared in the afternoon, and the Abels sang such touching songs of desiring their lives to be in service to the Lord.

We all enjoyed the day together being challenged to Take up the Cross. Our district has a traveling WMF banner that went home with the Beulah ladies who are hosting us in the spring.
