Originally published under the title “What is the Lutheran Free Church?” This brochure includes six paragraphs, each beginning with the phrase “The Association of Free Lutheran Congregations is,” offering a clear and concise explanation of the AFLC’s identity, beliefs, and distinctives.
An overview of the AFLC’s core beliefs, affirming that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and highlighting other foundational truths held by the AFLC.

Standing Fast in Freedom is a 29-page booklet that provides an overview of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC). It includes sections on the History, Structure and Organization, Declaration of Faith, an introduction to the AFLC, and the Fundamental Principles and Rules for Work of the Association. Roots of Freedom is a 20-page booklet that provides an overview of the Lutheran Free Church, including its history, core principles, and ministries. A Study on Homosexuality – God’s Word and Our Witness is a 40-page booklet featuring faculty essays from the Theological Seminary and Bible School of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations. Originally prepared in 1989, this resource presents a biblical perspective with both conviction and compassion.
